A trip to the zoo with your camera can be fun. You get a chance to photograph animals from all over
the world. Many zoos today exhibit the birds and animals in large, open areas that are similar to the
animal’s natural environment. The methods used to keep the animals captive vary, depending on the
design of the exhibit and the animal’s agility. Sometimes there will be nothing between you and the
photo subject. At other times there will be fencing or glass (actually Lexan or similar plastic) panels. All
of these exhibit methods present some kind of a problem to the photographer
