Volvo C70 2008 Owner’s Manual
Saturday, March 13th, 2010Your Volvo is manufactured following the
concept Clean inside and out – a concept
that encompasses a clean interior environment
as well as highly efficient emission control.
In many cases the exhaust emissions are
well below the applicable standards.
Clean air in the passenger
compartment
A passenger compartment filter prevents
dust and pollen from entering the passenger
compartment via the air intake.
A sophisticated air quality system, IAQS1
(Interior Air Quality System) ensures that the
incoming air is cleaner than the air in the traffic
outside.
The system consists of an electronic sensor
and a carbon filter. The incoming air is monitored
continuously and if there is an increase
in the level of certain unhealthy gases such
as carbon monoxide then the air intake is
closed. Such a situation may arise in heavy
traffic, queues and tunnels for example.
The entry of nitrous oxides, ground-level
ozone and hydrocarbons is prevented by the
carbon filter.

Honda 2007 CR-V Owner’s Manual
Thursday, February 25th, 2010Your CR-V has higher ground clearance than a passenger vehicle designed for use only on pavement. Higher ground clearance has many advantages for off-highway driving. It allows you to travel over bumps, obstacles, and rough terrain. It also provides good visibility so you can anticipate problems earlier. These advantages come at some cost. Because your vehicle is taller and rides higher off the ground, it has a high center of gravity. This means your vehicle can tip or roll over if you make abrupt turns. Utility vehicles have a significantly higher rollover rate than other types of vehicles. In a rollover crash, an unbelted person is significantly more likely to die than a person wearing a seat belt. As a reminder, make sure you and your passengers always wear seat belts. For information on how to reduce the risk of rollover, read “Driving Guidelines” on page 244 of this manual and the Off-Highway Driving Guidelines section on page 268 . Failure to operate your vehicle correctly might result in loss of con
trol or an accident.
